'Select' Teams (U9-U18)

What is the 'Select' team in each age group?

The 'Select' teams are considered the best team in each age group. The 'Select' teams will play in the highest level of competition that Narangba Eagles FC can access. All of our 'Select' teams are expected to train twice a week during the season.

For our U9-12 players, our 'Select' teams will play at Football Queensland's 'Kangaroo' level. Football Queensland also features 'Wallaby' and 'Quokka' levels below 'Kangaroo' level. If we encounter a strong level of quality players during trials, we may feature more than one team at the highest level in certain age groups.

For our U13-U18 players, our 'Select' teams will play in either the Metro Junior League (MJL), Division 1 or the highest league possible for the ability of the group.

All junior competition teams (U13-U18) will be placed at a level that continually challenges both the individual players and the team as a whole.

Why should my child trial for a 'Select' team at Narangba Eagles Football Club?

Narangba Eagles FC is a growing club that has strong ambitions to continue developing players. Our 'Select' teams are for players that wish to challenge and improve themselves amongst like-minded players at a similar, strong skill level in their age group.

How do I get involved to trial?

If your child would like to trial for the 'Select' team in their age group, you must express an interest via the published Expressions of Interest form. All players wishing to trial must register - this includes players who have played at Narangba Eagles FC before as well as new players wishing to join our club.

What if my child hasn't played at Narangba Eagles FC before?

That's absolutely ok! We'd love to see you at Narangba.

What if my child cannot make it to the trials?

If you are not able to attend any of the trial sessions, please register an Expression of Interest for the trials and notify us that you can't make it via directorofcoaching@narangbaeagles.com.au

Will you have trials for all-girls (girls only) teams?

Yes, definitely. Narangba Eagles FC has one of the largest female membership bases in the region. We fielded all-girls teams in almost every age group in 2025.

Is there an additional cost associated with playing in a 'Select' team at Narangba Eagles Football Club?

There is a small additional cost for 'Select' team players in U9-U18.

Born in 2017 - U9 in 2026

Born in 2016 - U10 in 2026

Born in 2015 - U11 in 2026

Born in 2014 - U12 in 2026

Born in 2013 - U13 in 2026

Born in 2012 - U14 in 2026

Born in 2011 - U15 in 2026

Born in 2010 - U16 in 2026

Born in 2008 or 2009 - U18 in 2026
